Welcome to St. Lucia Kingfisher Lodge

Our B&B offers eight luxury air-conditioned suites, each with its own private patio overlooking the tropical estate

St Lucia is the gateway to the beautiful iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, declared South Africa's first World Heritage Conservation Site

St Lucia Kingfisher Lodge is situated at the edge of town which means that whilst the shops, restaurants and other amenities are only a 10 minute walk away, the lodge's delightful gardens blend seamlessly into the surrounding iGwalagwala Forest.

The lodge has extensive shady gardens with a wide variety of trees. St Lucia Estuary can be viewed from the end of the garden and the start of the walking trail through the iGwalagwala Forest is next to the front gate. This proximity to nature means that the gardens are home to a wide variety of birds and are often visited by animals such as hippos, various antelope, bush babies and very occasionally leopards. A swimming pool is available for the exclusive use of guests. Guests are welcome to relax either on sun loungers in the garden, under a poolside shaded area or in the privacy of your own room patio.

  • The staff are very friendly. We were only going to arrive in the evening and the lady let us know how we would access our room. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious!

  • The service there was amazing the room was beautiful and we loved the fact that they really used the wetlands landscape to add to the atmosphere of the place. We were only able to stay one night but would definitely be back to stay longer.
